Hold on to hope

The daily routine can be tiring and sometimes depressing. The burdens possible seem bearable, but maybe you’re missing that special something that makes your life worth living. Just work and responsibility; important, but is that all? Joy, love, security and meaning.

Are these things far away from you, so that they seem almost unattainable? Nevertheless, they have a place in your heart. Perhaps not yet so strongly that you can draw from them, but that can come.

The apostle Paul once said: “Now faith, hope and love remain. Love is the greatest of these”.

Do you already know it, love? The giving love that does not ask: what is in it for me? It can be, and I am sure of it, the key to transforming the gray of your life into a colorful painting. But how do you get this love?

If you need more love, you should turn to the One who is love Himself: God. The Bible says: God is love. Even if you have only a little power yourself, you can use it to please others and thus also yourself. Don’t let the demands of others and all the things you should do get you down. Rest in the love of God. You are loved! Occupy yourself with Him, and you will find new strength to face the storms properly.

With God everything is possible. Do you feel cornered, drained and disregarded? Tell him, he has the power to turn your destiny around.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Jesus Christ).

Life often seems like a huge labyrinth, sometimes a dark one at that. You need light to find your way through it. Do not remain alone in all this. Share your heart with God and with good friends who mean well with you.

Hold on to this hope and your life will change for the better!
